SOLARSPOT INTERNATIONAL SRL is an Italian company entirely owned by the family Bracale, resulting from the merging (2009) of two other societies, also entirely owned by the family Bracale: Energo Project Srl, operative since 1981, and Solar Project Srl, operative since 2003.

Since their constitution, the main activity of both companies has been completely dedicated to the technologies of renewable energies applied to constructions.

Progressively, the company has focused on the technologies for the transportation of the daylight and, thanks to the substantial development and improvement in performances obtained by research activities, it has become the mainstay of the company.

The change of the name into SOLARSPOT INTERNATIONAL SRL simply shows the company international vocation, which today exports more than 90% of its production.

Today more than 20 people work in the site of Cocquio Trevisago, while it is estimated that more than 1000 people, among those companies which directly or indirectly cooperate with Solarspot International, are involved in the development of the Solarspot® daylighting system, for daylighting with tubular skylights or tubular daylight guidance systems (according to the definition of the report CIE TC 3 -38 173:2006).

The company is associated with UNIVA (Union of the Industrials of Varese) and CONFAPI (Association of small and medium industries), and is also member of the Kyoto Club and Legambiente.

The CEO and President of the company, Dr. Gennaro Bracale, 75 years old, is among the founding members of the Technical Group CIE TC3-38 (International Commission on Illumination) and is also member of the Italian Association of Illumination and author of publications on European books and magazines.

Until 1972 he was Research Manager of a department of the Aluminium Italian Industries, and for more than 30 years he has been a pioneer in the field of renewable energies.
