Base kit

All Solarspot® systems, from the simple Attic Kit just crossing the roof or the wall, to the more complex Solarspot® with variable length, angle adapters and various accessories, always start from a Base Kit, regardless of the chosen diameter.
It is therefore necessary to understand how a Base Kit is composed.
The Solarspot® Base Kit is made up of two completely preassembled parts, the Top Kit and the Bottom Kit. Both are already equipped with a tube:  “A” for the top and “B” for the bottom, whose length may vary according to the Solarspot® technical requirements or to the price list.
All tubes and angle adapters making up a Solarspot® system are slightly tapered, thus allowing each component to be inserted into the other. In fact the tube “B” of the Bottom Kit is inserted into the tube “A” of the Top Kit, allowing an easy regulation of the necessary length “L”.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE BASE KIT
D = Diameter of Solarspot®
A = Tube of the Top Kit
B = Tube of the Bottom Kit
L =  Length of the Base Kit (A+B)

SOLARSPOT® ROOF EXITS AND USE OF FLASHINGS

Once chosen the diameter of the Solarspot® and thus the Base Kit, it has to be chosen the flashing which suits the roofing. Below there are some of the most usual examples.

FROM FLAT ROOFING
On a flat roofing the flashing to be used is the seamless flat aluminium one, usually called SATO. SATO1 means without thermal insulation, SATO2 with thermal insulation. On a flat roofing there is surely a bituminous waterproofing, made of PVC or similar materials; this flashing can be waterproofed and then the chosen Base Kit can be inserted into it.
